Currently {August}

My oh My! How is it August??? I feel like it was just the start of summer time, and now it is the day before I head back to work.  In my role as a Reading Coach, I am on a 200 day contract.  I report the week prior to teachers.  This week will be full of moving my office - I get a bigger space which I am pumped about.  Last year, I was housed in the 4K teacher's office.  Loved it - made me feel like I still had students. This year I will share a space with our reading interventionist.  I will show off my space once it is done :).

I am linking up with Farley at Oh' Boy 4th Grade for her monthly currently series.  I even linked up with her NEW instagram link up with the hashtag #ohboycurrently.  Check out everyone's Currently by searching with that hashtag.

Listening: I love some of the shows that have come out this summer.  In particular, I look forward to watching Mistresses and The Astronaut Wives Club.  Another one of my top favorites that I love each week is UnReal - it makes me think about all the stuff that happens behind the scenes of The Bachelor, The Bachelorette, and Bachelor in Paradise

Loving: We had a summer to remember.  We did lots of fun things like go to two Atlanta Braves games, went to the beach at Edisto, headed to the lake for the day for the 4th of July and went on a cruise for our 4 year anniversary.

Thinking: Since ending my administration program, I have had a little bit more time on my hands.  Even though we have a full-time business of Antebellum Baubles, I have found some time to update some of my old products and have started brainstorming about new products.

Wanting: More Kendra Scott Earrings!!!! I blame this obsession on every teacher blogger who posted on instagram!!!! I got a pair of the Elle Earrings through Nordstrom that were on sale.  They were perfect for the wedding we attended last night.  I know what I want to add to my Christmas list!!!

Needing: The weekend to get here already! I know its Sunday - we always are "working for the weekend".  My friend Carrie and I are headed to Charleston next Saturday for the Carolinas Teacher Meetup.  Amanda and Katie have done a great job organizing this meet up and I cannot wait to meet others that I "know" online!

B2S RAK: Last year, I was new at my school as the Reading Coach.  I spent a lot of my year building relationships with those that I work with.  This year I want to Welcome them back with a card that I will design and a treat.  Just gotta come up with something.  I did something last year with tootsie rolls and said Let's Roll into a Great School Year.

Hope everyone has a great rest of their weekend!!!

  1. Hi Megan,
    Congratulations on completing your administration program. I am about to start my program in October. I think we have much in common. I am out of the classroom as a team leader. The position is similar to a coach and I just moved my office last week.
    Good luck!

  2. Love your RAK ideas. I will be new to my school this year and want to work hard at building positive relationships with my new co-workers…..you just inspired me! I have spent quite a bit of time in the Carolinas. Love them….so beautiful. I have only been to one blogger meet-up. It was so fun!
