Donors Choose

Well before I head out the door to go do my Saturday errands, I want to just reach out there not only for myself but for my crazy, yet precious kids.

We are super low in Math. I teach my heart out everyday, and we just do not underdstand Math concepts. There are ALOT of variables at why this happens, especially since Math is at the end of the day and I am teaching up until the moment they are walking out the door. And to make it worse, I do teach at a HIGH POVERTY SCHOOL, so after they leave me (and trust me I wish I could take them all home and help them) they don't get the proper guidance on reviewing over what they have previously learned. We have made tremendous gains on our MAP scores from Winter to Spring in Math, but I know with Small Group Instruction that they will be able to end the year with a bang.

Our timing of the day is very akward and hard to do Small Group Instruction, but also because of the lack of materials.

Please Check Out My Donor's Choose Page and just donate $1, $5, $10. If I could just get 9 readers to donate $10 today, my kids would be that much closer to getting the proper small group instruction that they need sooner, rather than when it is too late. Especially since Crate and Barrel is going to help this project become so realistic - faster than I ever imagined!

Happy Saturday Everyone!

  1. I teach 4th grade math at the "worst" school in my district (lowest test scores, the poorest kids from the worst neighborhoods, no parent support) so I can totally relate to you. Good luck getting totally funded!

About 10 years ago I was in a similar position. I was hired to teach third and I stated in January with my new class.
